Privacy Policy

Your coordinates never leave your phone. RemAInder needs to know when you left a place, not where that place is. Detection happens entirely on your device; all our servers receive is a signal along the lines of "left place #2 at 08:14".
Who we are
RemAInder is made by Apexium Systems. For anything about this data, including access or deletion requests, write to suporte@apexiumsystems.com.
What we collect

What we do not collect
Contacts, photos, health data, financial data, location history, and the contents of your calendar events. None of it is read or sent.
Advertising
The free tier shows ads from Google AdMob. Never during a departure — the moment you are at the door with the checklist open is precisely the moment an ad would make the app worse at the one thing it is for. On iOS we ask your permission before any tracking; if you decline, you still see ads, just less relevant ones. RemAInder Plus removes ads.
Household
If you join a household group, the other members can see that group's shared places and items, and may get a heads-up when someone leaves without something marked as critical. They do not see your location. You can leave the group at any time in settings.
How long we keep it
For as long as the account exists. Departure records are aggregated into statistics, and individual records older than 12 months are deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data. You can delete the account inside the app, under Settings → Account → Delete account, which removes everything from our servers. You can also write to suporte@apexiumsystems.com and we answer within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — ours is the Portuguese Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados.
Permissions, and what happens if you say no
- Background location — without it the app cannot tell that you left, and falls back on you opening the checklist by hand.
- Notifications — without them we cannot alert you; the checklist stays in the app and the widget.
- Calendar — without it you lose only the meeting-related suggestions. Everything else works.
- Camera — used solely to scan the household invite QR code.
- Bluetooth — used to recognise that you connected to your car. We do not identify other devices or people around you.
Children
RemAInder is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from that age group.
Changes
If this policy changes in any significant way, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
